DrupalCon Chicago 2026 Call for Speakers Closes September 26
The Call for Speakers for DrupalCon Chicago 2026 closes this week on September 26, giving community members only days to submit session proposals for the annual conference.
DrupalCon invites speakers from across the global Drupal community, including developers, designers, marketers, content strategists, executives, translators, and more. Accepted speakers gain the chance to share expertise, raise visibility, and contribute to the open-source platform’s continued growth. Notifications for accepted sessions will be sent on November 12, with confirmations due by December 5.
Organizers emphasize that proposals should enrich the community rather than promote products or services. Priority will be given to unique content not readily available online. Collaborative submissions are encouraged, particularly those bridging perspectives between service providers and clients. To support inclusion, panels must feature speakers from underrepresented groups.
Session types include 50-minute workshops, fireside chats, lecture presentations, and panels. A maximum of two proposals per speaker is allowed, and accepted sessions receive up to two complimentary, non-transferable registrations.
The Drupal Association has reaffirmed its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging submissions from individuals marginalized by systemic barriers such as racism, misogyny, transphobia, and ableism.
