DrupalCon Chicago 2026 Seeks Track Chairs and Session Reviewers
The planning team for DrupalCon Chicago 2026 is calling on community members to volunteer for speaker review roles as part of a major expansion of the event’s program selection process. Bree Benesh, who is leading Speaker Review this year, announced that the process will shift from a small review group to larger, dedicated Track Teams.
Over 40 volunteers are needed to serve as Track Chairs and Reviewers across ten focus areas. Volunteers will help evaluate session proposals and shape the final conference program. In return, participants receive a free ticket to DrupalCon Chicago and play a direct role in defining the event’s content.
Several tracks still need both chairs and reviewers, including Development + Coding, DevOps, Leadership + Business, Site Building, and UX, Accessibility + Design. Other tracks, such as Community Health, Content + Marketing, and Core + CMS, have chairs in place but still require reviewers.
Time commitments vary by role. Track Chairs are expected to contribute three to six hours weekly from August through January. Reviewers will be active from September to October, with an estimated two to six hours of work per week.
Ideal volunteers have subject-matter expertise, strong follow-through, and a passion for community-driven events. The team encourages applications from individuals of underrepresented or marginalized backgrounds to ensure a diverse and inclusive review process.
