DrupalCamp Colorado 2025 to Showcase Custom Field Content Modeling
DrupalCamp Colorado 2025 will take place July 25 - 26 at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver, Colorado. Andy Marquis will lead the session “Content Modeling with Custom Fields,” which introduces a streamlined approach to Drupal content architecture.
The Custom Field module stores complex, multi-valued data (for example, contact forms with first name, last name, and email) in a single database table. This method eliminates the table bloat common with traditional field configurations and improves query performance.
Session attendees will examine flexbox-based widget forms, customizable formatters (such as tables and HTML lists), and user-experience enhancements that reduce module dependencies and configuration overhead. The presentation will compare this approach with the multiple-table structure used by paragraphs and blocks.
O’Reilly Media will provide all in-person participants with a free 30-day trial of its learning platform, offering access to ebooks, videos, and online tutorials.
More details, registration information, and the full conference schedule are available at the DrupalCamp Colorado website.
