DLR is Germany's research center focused on aeronautics and space. The German Space Agency, part of DLR, manages the national space program for the federal government. Additionally, two project management agencies within DLR oversee funding programs and facilitate knowledge transfer. With 55 research institutes and facilities, DLR addresses global challenges related to climate, mobility, and technology. The organization employs around 10,000 people dedicated to exploring Earth and space while developing technologies aimed at a sustainable future.
