Halloween Lights Module Updated for Drupal 11 in Time for the Spooky Season
Justin Keiser has released an updated version of the Halloween Lights module for Drupal 11, adding glowing Jack-o’-Lanterns to non-admin pages across Drupal sites just in time for the Halloween season.
The module displays a string of animated pumpkins along the top of a site, each one randomly glowing to mimic the flicker of candlelight. While the visuals remain intentionally simple and festive, the latest release ensures compatibility with both Drupal 10 and 11.
Halloween Lights is inspired by older celebratory modules like Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!, continuing the tradition of lighthearted seasonal themes within the Drupal ecosystem. The module is also available for Backdrop CMS.
Keiser notes that the module is considered feature-complete and minimally maintained. It is not covered by the Drupal security advisory policy, so developers should use it in appropriate contexts.
Development support for the module came from the Academy of Model Aeronautics, where Keiser serves as a Drupal web programmer.
