Drupal.org Credit System Moves to Contribution Records
Drupal.org is shifting its issue crediting process to the new Contribution Records system, marking the next step toward fully integrating issue management with GitLab.
The update, shared by Fran García-Linares, confirms that editing of credit information will now happen in the Contribution Records system rather than inside Drupal.org issues. View-only links to the new system have been available for several weeks, but this transition makes it the primary place for credit management.
Under the new system, maintainers will assign credits while contributors will manage their own organization attributions as employer and/or customer. Contributors can also save default values for future use. All participants from an issue will automatically appear in the associated Contribution Record, eliminating the need to add names twice. Maintainers only need to select who to credit, and contributors only need to verify their attribution.
Community members are encouraged to report bugs or provide feedback through the Contribution Records module issue queue. More information is available on Drupal.org.
