Drupal GovCon 2025 Scheduled for August 14–15 at University of Maryland
Drupal GovCon 2025 kicks off soon on August 14 and 15 at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland campus in College Park. Registration is open and tickets are free, but space is limited and demand is high.
This two-day, in-person event brings together developers, designers, content strategists, and government technology professionals to share expertise and explore the latest in Drupal and open source web solutions. The program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day.
GovCon includes keynote talks, technical sessions, hands-on workshops, Birds of a Feather meetups, contribution sprints, and lightning talks. Tracks cover key topics like accessibility, AI, site building, security, and digital strategy. Whether you work in government, nonprofit, higher education, or the private sector, there are sessions designed to meet a wide range of professional needs.
Networking is a core part of the event. Attendees can connect during scheduled breaks, visit sponsor booths, and join social events. A community party hosted by Acquia will be held on August 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Hall CP, located close to the venue. A closing reception for speakers, sponsors, and organizers will take place the following evening.
Due to a sponsorship shortfall, this year's event has been scaled from three days to two, but organizers have packed the schedule with high-impact content and activities. All registered attendees receive access to sessions, lunch, and a free conference t-shirt.
Organizers strongly recommend finalizing travel and lodging soon. Many attendees use GovCon as a professional development opportunity and are encouraged to share the schedule with supervisors for approval.
