Ben Ramsey

Ben Ramsey is a long-time open-source contributor, speaker, and software engineer known for his work as release manager for PHP 8.1 and 8.2, and for maintaining the widely used ramsey/uuid library. With over 25 years in the industry, he brings a people-first philosophy to software development, focusing on solving real-world problems and improving user experiences.
Ben has contributed to the PHP core project, pecl/ecma_intl, and many community initiatives. His commitment to empathetic, sustainable open-source communities is reflected not only in code but also in mentorship, speaking engagements, and published writings.
