Drupal & MCP

Drupal was one of the first of its kind to support MCP on Anthropic’s list of MCP Servers! Giorgi will demonstrate how Drupal can be used as an MCP server. This session aims to showcase how complex and impressive applications can be built using Drupal MCP with relative ease, particularly where Drupal offers unique or easier capabilities compared with other frameworks. The presentation will focus on exposing MCP resources to highlight Drupal’s strength as a content modelling tool and repository. It will also explore integrating Drupal with ChatGPT as an MCP server and supporting OpenAI’s new Apps SDK, enabling fully interactive UI components. Giorgi envisions creating a data model, wiring it to a UI using Canvas, and deploying it to ChatGPT through the MCP module.
