As an adjunkt professor at Reykjavik University, a full-time employee as a Senior Drupal Developer at University of Iceland, a CEO/CTO of his own Drupal agency in Iceland (Um að gera) and a member of the organizing committee for DrupalCon Europe, Hilmar has shown that real Vikings have at least 36 hours in their day. Hilmar is the co-founder of the Drupal Open University Initiative, which focuses on integrating Drupal and PHP into universities' curricula. He is also the co-founder of Drupal-in-a-Day, a one-day course designed specifically for individuals unfamiliar with Drupal, aimed at teaching them enough to spark their enthusiasm for continued learning. In his spare time (yes, he has quite some spare time), he plays and collects board games, has a vast collection of games and organises his own Board Game retreat in Iceland every year.
