EUNAVFOR operates under the EU Common Security and Defense Policy as the first naval operation, focusing on global maritime security and naval diplomacy in the Indo-Pacific. Since 2008, it supports Coastal States in efforts for peace, stability, and maritime security as part of the EU Integrated Approach to the Horn of Africa.
