The American Law Institute (ali.org) is an independent nonprofit in the book and periodical publishing industry. It produces scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law by drafting Restatements, Model Codes, and Principles of Law, influencing courts, legislatures, and legal scholarship in the United States.
